CHG Building Systems, Inc. was the Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Erector on this project–installing 700 tons of steel, over 100,000 square feet of steel deck, including a 180-foot-long clear span pedestrian bridge. The installation of the pedestrian bridge proved exceptionally challenging due to the only available crane pad location being located on a heavily sloped, active road that services the hospital. CHG was able to mitigate the challenges and impacts to the hospital by setting the bridge over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
