The Northwest School of the Arts, Humanities and Environment
Below: CHG installed the final trusses in the spring of 2013. Pictured below that installation is the finished sports court atop the building.
CHG erected approximately 175 tons of structural steel, joists, decking and stairs for the 31,000-square-foot, two-story building situated on an extremely tight site in Seattle. The building houses a full-court gymnasium, two-tiered dining room, a 175-seat black-box theater, a rooftop sports field with overhead netting, and a “sky lab” that can be used as an outdoor science classroom all above a below-grade black box theatre classroom and support spaces.
